PROBLEMS
MSW: Lack of 100% segregation at household; Dirty and mismanaged
secondary collection points; Exhausted landfill; Inefficacy of
Centralized waste processing plants
Agro/Forest Waste: Globally, 140 billion metric tons of biomass waste
is generated every year from agriculture with energy potential of 50
billion tons of oil. India generates 700 million tones of biomass from
agriculture every year with energy potential of 250 million tones of
oil equivalents. Unfortunately none of this is used as fuel and there
is problem of Energy Crisis.
SOLUTION:
XAPER:- XAPER is a unique patented decentralized waste processing
system for municipal solid waste that not only segregates the mixed
waste into wet/biodegradable/food waste from
dry/non-biodegradable/plastic waste but also decomposes the food waste
to bio-dried compostable in 24 hours by accelerated aerobic
decomposition (AAD) in the same system which results in 70-80% waste
reduction after processing near to the source of its generation and
100% diversion of waste from landfills and water-bodies. It is
designed for decentralized locations such as waste collection points,
transfer points or in gated societies. There is no methane generation
and no lechate generation.
